Principal Group - Software Engineering Manager - Microsoft Threat Protection

Microsoft Sentinel is a cloud native SIEM and SOAR. Since its launch 4 years ago, we’ve had massive customer traction, are one of the fastest growing products in the Microsoft security ecosystem and recently, a Gartner and Forrester market leader. We are disrupting the SOC market with cutting edge technology and the scale of the cloud, working on some of the hardest problems out there with one of the most engaged customer communities there are.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of several engineering teams, managing team leads, developing their and their teams careers and keeping the teams health; running all execution and reliability operations.
• Envision, architect, deliver , and support high-quality distributed services, infrastructures, and components.
• Partner effectively with functional leader counterparts (PM, Research, Data science, Engineeing) across Microsoft Sentinel and across Microsoft Security and other Microsoft groups to ensure ongoing alignment, engineering dependencies, and build solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, vision, and manage relationships and requirements with peer platform and product teams.
• Drive product execution with clarity, including translating abstract problem statements into a high-quality product engineering strategy and design.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Software Engineering management.
• 3+ years of managing managers (team leads)
• 5+ years of experience developing and shipping customer-facing cloud services (SaaS model) at an enterprise-grade scale, designing, implementing, and maintaining complex system architecture.
• Excellence in written and verbal communication and ability to partner for success across all levels of organization and technical depths. Experience driving efforts across product groups and business units.
• Customer-first, business-savvy, and holds a growth mindset to uphold our culture and values.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written English communication skills, including communication with executives overseas.
• Excellent negotiation and partnership skills.
