R&D Squad manager

RiseUp is looking for an R&D Squad manager, with experience in managing a product development team or squad.

We are looking for an engineering manager who can be a leader within the Product development organization, with excellent interpersonal skills, deep technical understanding, empathy and humility, with a passion for supporting employees’ growth while delivering state-of-the-art software products that create real impact in the world

In this role, you will manage a product development squad and play a key role in building and leading our world-class Financial Wellbeing product.

Who is the Engineering Manager we are looking for?

• At least six years of experience in software development
• At least three years of experience managing people
• A people person who lives and breathes supporting employees’ growth
• A strategic thinker, able to grasp and lead broad product & business goals
• Someone who gives quality feedback
• A proactive and accountable person with a creative mindset who is in pursuit of making a significant impact
• With an “everything is possible” approach
• Very strong teamwork skills

What technologies do we use:

We write everything in Node.js, and our frontend is written in Vue and React Native

We use Kafka, MongoDB and Redis. Our environment at AWS with Fargate.
