AMR Industrial Designer

Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Industrial Designer with a strong foundation in mechanics and a proven track record in manufacturing metal and plastics parts. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative products that blend functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop mechanical designs and prototypes for AMRs, including chassis, wheels, sensors, and other mechanical components.

Utilize your expertise in mechanics to conceptualize and design mechanical components and systems for industrial applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical, software, and control systems.

Participate in design reviews, provide technical feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Implement design for manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize product manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee the production process and ensure quality standards are met.

Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices related to AMRs and mechanical design.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in industrial design with a focus on mechanical systems and components.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including statics, dynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
