Frontend (Full-Stack) Developer (TypeScript, NextJS, Vercel)

Cedar is a fintech company aimed at bridging the gaps between importers from emerging economies while purchasing goods from exporters in developed economies by using an innovative technology orchestration platform.

Responsibilities

As a full-stack Developer, you play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our customer-facing web application in the fintech sector. Responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end development, ensuring smooth integration of frontend and backend components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Showcase UI/UX design skills to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that align with the high standards of the fintech industry.
• Guide the technical aspects of the app development process, demonstrating a strong ownership mentality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in frontend and backend development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in developing web applications in JavaScript.
• 3+ years experience with React preferably Nextjs.
• 2+ years experience working with server-side JS frameworks (preferably NestJS)
• Experience working with CSS frameworks (e.g. tailwind), and design tools (e.g. Figma).
• Design and UX Passion: a genuine interest in creating exceptional user experiences, with an eye for design.
• Collaboration and Communication: strong teamwork and communication skills, working effectively with technical and business oriented team members.
• Ownership Mentality: proactive problem-solving approach and a strong sense of ownership throughout the development process.
• Fintech Acumen: previous experience in fintech developing B2C or B2B applications is a must. Experience in payments or banking is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in small teams and adapt to a dynamic startup environment.
• Fluent in English.

• Security Focus: experienced in maintaining robust security measures.
• Blockchain and crypto: familiarity with blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies.
