Senior Product Manager - Marketplace

Microsoft’s Commercial Marketplace is the easiest way for customers to purchase, and for partners to offer cloud-based solutions and services. It is a key part of Microsoft's cloud strategy, enabling its adoption by businesses worldwide.

IDC recently named Microsoft’s Commercial Marketplace as a leader among cloud and application-centric marketplaces. 

The Marketplace storefronts team builds rich experiences to connect Microsoft customers and partners, providing a trusted platform for finding, evaluating, procuring, and managing cloud-based solutions. 

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager, who combines long-term thinking and excellence execution to lead key initiatives, shape the future of our Marketplace platform and grow the Marketplace business.  As a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, you will define and execute product strategies that align with our mission and business objectives.

You will work directly with customers, partners, and many other cross-functional stakeholders to contribute to the success of Microsoft’s Commercial Marketplace in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

• Craft and communicate features and services vision and strategy, aligning with Microsoft's goals and customer needs. 
• Develop comprehensive product plans, balancing priorities, and timelines to meet strategic objectives. 
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding products and features, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. 
• Engage in market analysis, user research, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement. 
• Work closely with a variety of teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, ensuring seamless product launches and strong market presence. 
• Champion the user experience, ensuring our products not only meet but exceed customer expectations. 
• Utilize data-driven insights to guide product decisions and measure success, adapting strategies as necessary. 
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
• 5+ years of product management experience in the technology industry, with a proven track record of successful product development and launches. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-informed decisions. 
• leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of the organization. 
• A customer-first mindset, with a passion for developing solutions that meet and exceed user needs. 
• A growth mindset, with a willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches to product development. 
• Strong understanding of software development processes and lifecycle. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
