Automation Engineer

A cutting-edge startup is developing an innovative computer vision-based system for real-time tracking and management of ships. The product, which has no competitors, is targeted at the shipping industry, responsible for 90% of global trade.

The product is highly complex, featuring both a WEB UI and API, with plans for mobile integration and interfacing with AI and analytics in the future.

The company is looking for a candidate who has experience with end-to-end (E2E) testing and automation, having led such a comprehensive system.

Located in Tel Aviv, near the train line, the company operates with 2-3 days of remote work. The company has 30 global employees, with 10 of them in Israel, and is expanding, with everyone based in R&D.

Key Responsibilities:

● Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans and

strategies for Frontend and Backend software.

Identify test requirements and develop comprehensive test cases.

● Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests to verify the functionality and

performance of software products.

Report and document defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.

● Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and changes do not

negatively impact existing functionality.

Continuously monitor and improve test coverage.

● Test Automation: Contribute to developing automated test scripts to enhance test efficiency

and coverage.

Maintain and update test automation frameworks as needed.

● Participate in the Machine Learning QC process

● Lead and participate in non-functional testing efforts.

Requirements:

● 3 years of professional experience in creating and managing QA cycles testing, including

manual and automated testing.

● Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a

related field.

● Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools.

● Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.

● Thoroughness and high attention to detail.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

● Prior experience in the maritime industry is a plus but not required
