Phenome Networks is a leading company that empowers plant breeders with modern software, advanced workflows, and experimental and analytical techniques. We transform traditional plant breeding by organizing the wealth of data generated in the plant breeding process and providing companies and universities with better yields, outcomes, and plant resilience. Our Phenome One platform includes a Breeding Process Management module that supports all stages of the breeding process, as well as a Data Analytics module that applies statistical methods and algorithms to assist in translating plant observations into smart decisions. We are used by the world’s leading plant breeding companies and are a member of the European Plant Phenotyping Network, provide online courses at North Carolina State University, and our founders lecture at the Plant Breeding Academy at UC Davis.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Application Specialist located in Rehovot, with flexibility for some work from home. The Application Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and application support. They will ensure that these solutions are functioning correctly while communicating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Roles and responsibilities
· Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to our platform, ensuring a quick and effective resolution.
· Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of our software, its features, and capabilities to provide accurate guidance and support.
· Documentation: Create and maintain support documentation, including FAQs and knowledge base articles, to assist customers in finding solutions independently.
· Training: Conduct customer training sessions to ensure users are proficient in using our platform effectively onsite and offsite.
· Customer Advocacy: Advocate for the customer's needs and champion their success within the company.
Requirements
· Excellent written and client-facing communication skills in English -Must
· Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with technology, including familiarity with SaaS platforms, and the ability to learn and navigate new software quickly.
· Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
· Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to diagnose and resolve customer issues effectively.
· Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and provide constructive input.
· Background in plant science or agriculture – advantage!
· Familiarity with SQL – advantage
· Additional language- advantage
