Technical Artist - Casual Game

At PeerPlay, we are dedicated to creating captivating mobile gaming experiences that blend creativity, technology, and fun. Our current project, combines 2D and 3D elements to deliver an immersive gameplay experience. We are seeking a Technical Artist to join our team, who is passionate about gaming and excels in a collaborative environment.

Role Overview: The Technical Artist will act as a bridge between our Art and Development teams, ensuring the seamless integration of art assets into the Unity game engine. This role requires a unique blend of artistic vision and technical expertise to contribute to the visual quality and performance of our game.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with art and development teams to integrate 2D and 3D assets into Unity.
• Develop and maintain asset pipelines for efficient workflow.
• Create and optimize shaders, materials, and textures for game assets.
• Utilize 3D modeling skills to enhance and create game assets when necessary.
• Implement VFX and animations to bring dynamic elements within the game environment to life.
• Contribute to the development of tools and scripts to streamline production processes.
• Ensure assets are optimized for performance without compromising artistic integrity.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Unity game engine and asset integration.
• Good knowledge with C# programming language
• Strong foundation in 3D modeling and texturing tools such as Blender, Maya, or similar.
• Familiarity with 2D art creation tools like Photoshop.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of 3D art creation (e.g., rendering pipelines, material setup, light baking).
• Ability to write custom shaders and scripts in Unity is a plus.
• Creative problem-solver with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in mobile game development.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant technical and artistic skills.
