SW Embedded R&D Director

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced SW Embedded Director with a strong technical background to manage and lead the embedded group, to join our R&D leadership team in our offices in Herzliya.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Teams Management - Lead, mentor, and manage team leaders of embedded software engineers (>20), QA team, System architects. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the teams.
• Strategic Planning - Collaborate with senior management to define the software development strategy.
• Software Engineering - Oversee software development process, architecture, design, and development, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Establish and maintain quality assurance and testing procedures to ensure software products meet high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
• Proven experience in software engineering and product development, with a strong track record of successful product launches.
• Proven success managing of more than 20 software engineers within multi-disciplinary teams environment (HW/SW/BE).
• Experience with managing and development at medium company’s size.
• Deep technical knowledge and understanding of embedded software development tools, languages, environments, methodologies, technologies, and trends.
• At least 15 years of R&D experience as real time software developer.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing/leading R&D teams.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing managers.
• Vast experience with Real time/Embedded SW development, RTOS and Linux.
• Proven Experience in SW design, Low and high level, taking into consideration all the product life cycle support.
• Experience with hardware integration and board bring up.
• Deep understanding of Complex systems architecture (HW&SW).
• Experience with managing teams working on several projects simultaneously.
• Experience in Security, IOT products development is a great advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
