Firmware Test Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Test Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the testing efforts of our firmware devices. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts using Python for testing C programs embedded in firmware. The ideal candidate should have excellent programming skills in Python, and a deep understanding of C programming language, with a focus on various network communication protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Python automation scripts for testing firmware devices.
• Collaborate with the firmware development team to understand the requirements and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and integrity of firmware components.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure regular and consistent testing of firmware changes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware developers, quality assurance engineers, and project managers.
• Demonstrate expertise in network communication protocols, including but not limited to BLE and WiFi.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Familiarity with firmware development and debugging tools.
• In-depth knowledge of various network communication protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on network-related challenges.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
• Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
