Information Technology Field Engineer

Softweave is looking for a Field Engineer to join our growing team, this is new existing opportunity in the global IT market.

As a Field Engineer, you will manage technical functions, testing equipment, handle repairs, manage engineering projects, conduct site inspections, and plan and build professional, efficient, high-end, secured network solutions for the company’s products.

Scope of work

• Communicate with customer’s IT and support teams.
• Defining a proper technological solution according to requirements.
• Travel to sites for installations and maintenance.
• Accountable and responsible to assess impact of IT Global projects that require implementation on customer sites.
• Advise business leaders on the implications of IT-enabled change and work with the business to mitigate risk and deliver a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• Experience in systems architecture, systems administration, and monitoring
• Troubleshooting in a Unix environment.
• Knowledge of network setup, firewalls, VPNs, sites’ certificates, etc.
• Knowledge of network measurements, packet drops, bandwidth management, etc.
• Willing to travel to sites overseas and be part of the installation team owning the network setup on site.
• Education as Electrical technician or Engineer or Information Technology
• A team player with strong communication skills
• Fluent English: Speaking and writing
