Production Integration Technician

PixelSight is a deep-tech startup that builds vision intelligence systems to tackle one of the hardest problems in perception: early detection of threats drones, boats, and other targets at the edge of what's visible. Our systems are deployed in the field and saving lives.

Pixel Sight produces its systems together with contract manufacturing partners. In this role you hold the hands-on knowledge of how our systems are built, integrated, tested and repaired. You will support R&D with development builds and upgrades, run RMA repairs, and improve assembly processes at our subcontractors to shorten assembly time, reduce cost and raise output.

You will work on our partners’ production lines to make sure every build meets our standard, and capture that know-how in documents and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

R&D builds and upgrades

• Build development systems and prototypes to R&D requirements

• Make changes, adjustments and upgrades to existing systems

• Record assembly difficulties and feed design-for-assembly (DFA) improvements back to R&D

Production at subcontractors

• Lead integration and assembly of electronic, mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies on the

subcontractor line, to Pixel Sight work instructions and production documents

• Supervise build quality and adherence to quality and safety procedures, including ESD; escalate

deviations

• Identify difficulties and bottlenecks on subcontractor lines and drive solutions that improve

speed and quality

• Run functional tests and support environmental and vibration tests

• Find and fix faults in complex systems, down to component level on electronic boards

Production logistics and records

• Receive parts against purchase orders, kit per work order and run inventory counts

• Record serial numbers, component-to-serial links, unit status and shipments in the ERP (Priority)

• Flag shortages and material risks to Supply Chain

Work instructions and documentation

• Write clear, photo-based assembly instructions for every stage: sequence of operations, tools,

technical notes and in-process checks

• Keep work instructions up to date with engineering changes and system versions

• Build a library of known faults and repair methods

Assembly efficiency and cost

• Map assembly times and identify complex or repetitive steps

• Develop work methods, jigs and aids that shorten assembly time and prevent errors

• Evaluate pre-assembly of sub-assemblies, better sequences and simpler processes

keeping quality

• Propose changes to design, sub-assembly split and assembly methods that reduce production

cost

Assembly quality

• Define in-process checkpoints at key assembly stages, for approval by Quality Control as part of

the control plan

• Identify common assembly errors and develop ways to prevent them

RMA, upgrades and maintenance

• Run the RMA process: intake, fault diagnosis, repair and testing before return to use, with

Quality Control on root cause and retest

• Practical engineer or certified technician in electronics, electro-mechanics,

mechatronics or electrical engineering

• 5+ years of hands-on assembly and integration of electro-mechanical systems- Must

• Experience in serial production or transfer of products from development to production- Must

• Fault finding in complex systems, including component-level debugging of electronic boards

• Reads drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs and production documents, including in English

• Hands-on with lab and measurement equipment

• Comfortable with ERP records and documentation
