Vice President of Development

A leading global company in advanced medical technology, specializing in the development of multidisciplinary medical equipment, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Development. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of the company's R&D strategy, performance, and outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic partner and advisor in technology, innovation, intellectual property, knowledge, core technical and organizational skills, R&D strategy, product commercialization, and execution of plans.
• Serve as a central member of the senior management team of the group.
• Define and drive the company's technological roadmap and take overall leadership in the development of the company's products.
• Manage all development activities of an advanced neurostimulation platform, providing technical leadership from product requirements through design, verification, validation, and support in product transition to manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with strategic marketing and commercial functions to define needs addressed in each R&D program and deliver concepts, capabilities, designs, and plans to meet these needs.
• Anticipate and manage technological risks in the business, advancing risk management disciplines, project management, and project execution in the group.
• Support the CEO and CTO in managing the IP portfolio, IP strategy, and building a strong IP position for the company in its field.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in R&D of multi-disciplinary medical devices encompassing hardware, software, and mechanics.
• Experience with medical device regulation in the USA (FDA) and Europe, quality assurance, and compliance.
• Strong technical and business thinking, ability to establish a future-oriented strategy aligned with commercial goals, with tactics and drive to complete milestones for successful strategy execution.
• Experience in developing medical equipment requiring complex processes and assembly techniques, with a proven ability to deliver results within this framework.
