Manager of Development and Digital Department - for immediate placement at one of our clients

For the Information Systems Unit at Mekorot Company, which leads and develops dozens of technological projects for its clients, a Manager of the Development and Digital Department is needed.

Job Description:

• Formulating software development concepts (including code development, using LOW CODE, NO CODE capabilities, local development, cloud development, MOBILE development, etc.), methodologies, and work procedures, and guiding them.
• Operating internal and/or external development teams, preparing work plans, and supervising the teams' adherence to goals.
• Training and leading the technological direction of the developers, quality control of the products.
• Finding solutions to technological challenges in the development field.
• Selecting development tools/platforms, establishing, and operating them.
• Leading the process of adapting Mekorot's development environment to modern technologies.
• Professional responsibility and implementation of a testing and inspection methodology.
• The position includes Hands-On work.

Skills and Experience Required:

• An academic with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Industrial and Management Engineering specializing in Information Systems. Or any other Bachelor's degree, plus advanced courses in the field of computerized information systems totaling at least 300 hours.
• At least 6 years of practical experience as a team leader / head of software development field.
• Practical experience in REACT and ANGULAR development.
• Practical experience in development in the NET. / Java environment and implementing DEVOPS.
• Practical experience in interfaces with companies engaged in software development.
• Experience and knowledge in architecture based on Distributed solutions/Microservices.
• Experience in Eenterprise organizations.
