Daika Wood is an innovative climate tech company that has developed a new and innovative 100% natural industrial material made of wood waste and natural nontoxic materials to combat global warming and create a sustainable future. The resulting products manufactured using extrusion and molding retain the unique properties of wood such as warmth, sense, and acoustics, and can be further processed as regular wood. The company will target initially indoor design, like wall panels and acoustic ceilings, and later will expand to other markets.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Rosh HaAyin for a Head of Engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior FOAK (First-Of-A-Kind) Engineer to spearhead the development of our first-of-a-kind manufacturing processes and plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our engineering activities across the project life cycle, from process development to line engineering, line construction, commissioning, and asset management. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative solutions to address the unique opportunities associated with our novel technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with experience in Process Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in the design, engineering, and construction of industrial manufacturing processes
• Experience in similar industries (ceramic tile, wall panels, food extrusion, …) - an advantage
• Project Management
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in verbal and written English
