FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - CTX & XRD

Job Description

Providing all technical services, based on the contracts with EL AL (Israel) Airlines and our customers - that means in detail the timely execution of installation, repair and maintenance work, which essentially serves to maintain the operational readiness of our products.

As a Technical Specialist, you take the lead for installations and complex projects and provides specialist technical leadership for a product range of Computed Tomography and X-Ray Diffraction Explosive Detections System (EDS) products. Individual must be open and approachable and demonstrate solid communication skills, both oral and written. Possesses a strong electronic technical problem-solving mentality and exceptional product knowledge of Hold Baggage Systems (HBS) integration and IT Networks as well as experience in Project Management.

This role will also form the 2nd level of escalation within Service and will also interface with the Product Support Specialists (level up) and Field Support (Level down) during technical escalations, ensuring all key information requirements are met prior to any inter-functional handoffs. It develops and maintains close relationships within all Stakeholders at customer sites and counterparts in other regions to ensure best possible response to customer issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carrying out commissioning or service works domestically and overseas
• Perform site visits, audits and client meetings to set firm expectations with all stakeholders and manage project delivery / execution.
• Installation, commissioning, operator instruction, maintenance and repair of systems, including the required work records at home and abroad.
• Project Engineering lead for Installations, Integration, and technical documentation for CTX5800 installations and complex projects
• Technical Support, installation, integration and troubleshooting activities centered on Computed Tomography and Xray Diffraction equipment, including IT Networks, Software and PLC programming.
• Configuration of hardware and software
• Carry out fault diagnostics
• Participation in on-call and shift service
• Participation in inventory work
• Participation in the Continuous Improvement Program (CI)
• Maintaining order and cleanliness in the workplace
• Implementation of occupational safety, health and fire protection
• Implementation of quality requirements in the workplace

The Individual

• Practical Electronics engineer or BSc engineering, mechatronics/electronics for industrial engineering and electronics
• Minimum 3 + years of experience of engineering work and specialized training (installation, system integration, service, maintenance, and repair) in the field.
• Proven technical knowledge level in electronics systems.
• Experience of Hold Baggage System (HBS) IT Networks and Integration specialist for BHS systems.
• Successful completion of relevant product training
• Proven IT skill set including strong knowledge of Smiths Network Infrastructure and global IT standards, VPNs, Data & Cyber Security
• At least 2 or more years of experience with computerized tomography echnology is desirable but not essential
• Proven experience in a customer service role dealing with external customers/engineers/stakeholders.
• Reasonable customer experience and good communication skills
• Team-capable, self-motivated and reliable
• Motivation and ability to develop continuously and independently
• willingness to travel up to 50%-70% of the times and short notice.
• Proficiency in Hebrew and Good command of spoken and written English
• No criminal record
• Positive result of required security screening
• Independent lifting and carrying of loads up to 25kg
• Strong organizational ability, able to manage own time and workload.
• Able to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
• Experience with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
