R&D Manager

Playstudios is looking for an experienced R&D Manager for a key executive position.

The R&D Manager will oversee development, testing engineers, and the entire technology road map in the unit.

You will manage the teams on both day-to-day delivery aspects and on improving the teams' infrastructure, quality, and capacity.

Working in close collaboration with Marketing, Monetization, Product, CRM, and LiveOps teams to deliver an optimized and personalized experience to our players.

Responsibilities:

• Managing large outsource, offshore R&D team
• Working closely with the business department to build and execute the Roadmap
• Responsible for work methodologies and tools across all disciplines in the R&D
• Responsible for the production environment monitoring and stability
• Making sure teams are delivering the product with engineering excellence
• Works closely with the Architects team to drive the company technology roadmap
• Lead technical initiatives in the R&D unit
• Work hands-on with R&D leads to improve their managerial skills and assist with day-to-day dilemmas and issues

Requirements:

• At least 4 years management experience - MUST
• Experience in managing offshore teams - MUST
• Experience in the gaming industry - BIG advantage
• Experience with leading an R&D team of at least 40 people
• A strong background in either Internet or Gaming products both on the web and mobile - Advantage
• Demonstrated team building and leadership skills
• Ability to work in highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies
• Good spoken and written English is a MUST.
