Senior Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our scientific team as a Researcher in Polymeric Science and to lead cutting-edge research in the field of biodegradable and eco-friendly materials. You are invited to play a key role in advancing our understanding of polymer chemistry and engineering, with a focus on developing innovative materials and technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Research: Design, plan, and execute experiments to investigate the synthesis, modification, and characterization of polymeric materials. Explore new materials, methodologies, and approaches to enhance compound properties.
2. Polymer Chemistry: Develop novel polymer formulations using a variety of chemical and engineering techniques, focusing on reactive extrusion. Optimize synthesis processes for scalability and efficiency.
3. Processing Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory and pilot scale equipment, including twin-screw extruders, blown and cast film extruders and analytical tools, to ensure reliable experimental results. Troubleshoot equipment issues as necessary.
4. Characterization: Utilize advanced analytical techniques, such as FTIR, DSC, microscopy, gas transmission and biodegradation analysis equipment to characterize the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of polymeric materials.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemists, engineers, materials scientists, and the marketing team to integrate polymeric materials into applications such as flexible films by cast and blown extrusion.
6. Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, and communicate findings to internal and external teams.

Qualifications:                                                          

Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Proven experience in polymer science. Familiarity with synthesis, modification, and characterization of polymeric systems, as well as engineering aspects of polymer processing and scalable production, is desirable. A background in eco-friendly materials and biodegradable polymers is also desirable.
