Vice President of Engineering

Attis Aviation working in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

Company’s activities include UAS development, flight testing, pilots training, certification, operation and more. 

As part of the company growth, we are looking for a VP of Engineering.

Position overview:

As the Vice President of Engineering in a UAV company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our company and driving the execution of cutting-edge projects. You will build, lead and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and continuous learning. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure a successful execution.

As Vice President of Engineering you will be part of company's management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands on system engineering in UAS projects, including development on system and subsystem level.
• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the UAV engineering department, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers, cultivating an environment of innovation and collaboration.
• Drive the end-to-end UAV product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager, Marketing, and other departments to define technical roadmaps and prioritize projects.
• Oversee the implementation of best practices in engineering processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of UAV industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Manage and guide technical subcontractors.
• Define company’s engineering procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hands on UAV system engineer, with the ability to develop UAS architecture, define requirements for SW, electronics, flight control and mechanics.
• Past experience leading end to end UAV development projects in the role of system engineer and/ or technical manager.
• Proven experience of 10-15 years in engineering leadership roles, within Unmanned Aerial Systems or related technology sector.
• Strong expertise in UAV technology, systems engineering, and aerospace engineering principles.
• Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in electrical or aeronautical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with UAS CAA certification processes.
• Demonstrated success in leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• English and Hebrew languages proficiency.
