Job Description
As the Director of Business Development at Argus, an automotive cybersecurity company, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, cultivating, and securing business opportunities within the automotive industry. Your primary focus will be on developing and expanding relationships with key stakeholders, including automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and technology partners, to drive the growth of Argus in the field of cybersecurity solutions for vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Business Development
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and technology partners.
- Market Analysis
Analyze customer needs and market demands to develop targeted strategies and solutions.
- Solution Design and Proposal
Prepare proposals, presentations, and business cases to effectively communicate the value proposition and secure new business opportunities.
- Relationship Management
Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling cybersecurity services.
- Industry Networking
Stay informed about industry regulations, standards, and certifications related to automotive cybersecurity.
- Collaboration
Collaborate with the product development team to provide market insights and contribute to the enhancement of existing solutions.
- Financial Analysis
Ensure profitability and ROI targets are met for each business venture.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, preferably in the automotive industry with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Deep understanding of GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies and systems.
- Strong knowledge of automotive cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in Business Administration and cybersecurity are highly desirable.
