Head of Scientific Research

We are a new and exciting startup looking for a Head of Scientific Research. This is a unique opportunity to be an early employee at a young and innovative company. Help us build from the ground up. 

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with our Chief Scientist to understand and master the foundational knowledge underlying our pioneering technology.

Oversee research and development for our Sensing Group, including establishing research goals, tasks, and resource management.

Work in conjunction with the Chief Scientist under the direction of the company's CTO.

Education

A relevant advanced degree in physics and/or chemistry is required.

A deep understanding and expertise in Raman spectroscopy, SERS characterization, and fabrication is an advantage.

Experience

Must have experience in R&D, preferably in the field of electro-optics, or alternatively in materials or physics.

Theoretical and practical knowledge of plasmonic nanostructures and proficiency in conducting COMSOL-based simulations for SERS sensing is a significant advantage.

Additionally, experience in cleanroom operations –  including working with vapors – and expertise in optical and electronic lithography and etching methods is an advantage.
