VP / Director of Finance - Relocation to Western Europe

Our client is a leading finance-related company with an established reputation in the market but still retains the agility and creativity of a rising star in the industry. We are looking for a Head of Financial Reporting to be based in Western Europe.

The role will report to the CFO, ensuring the smooth operations of the finance department, regulatory compliance, and motivating the 10-person team to succeed and maximize productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establishment of the newly created Regulatory Reporting team.
• Managing the preparation of the Group's half-year and full-year consolidated statutory accounts, including liaison with the Group's external auditors.
• Managing the preparation of the Group's monthly consolidated management accounts, including preparation and review of financial information and commentaries for inclusion in the monthly Chief Executive's Report and board pack.
• Ensuring compliance with the latest developments in IFRS and company law and be a primary contact for technical accounting queries from across the Group.
• Maintaining a focus on strong internal controls and developing further the Group Reporting department's processes to ensure consistent compliance with best practices.
• Managing and developing a team of accountants, including involvement in recruitment activities,
• Managing ad hoc finance-based project work, including the reporting of business acquisitions and disposals,
• Review, streamline, and oversee the automation of manual regulatory reporting processes and reports.
• Prepare and deliver the Group's internal and external financial reporting.
• To liaise with several third parties to build strong relationships and ensure robust and accurate submissions.
• Manage the intercompany transactions, according to transfer pricing rules.
• Manage the overall audit process for the Group, liaising with the auditors.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting bodies.
• Oversee the preparation and completion of documents for legal entities.
• To provide specific support to the CFO on regulatory reporting matters.

Requirements:

• EU passport - Preferred (but not must)
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CA, etc.).
• Experience of complex, multi-currency consolidations and listed group reporting.
• Team Leadership experience. Relevant regulatory reporting experience.
• Proven experience in a similar group reporting manager position for a similar size organization. or have worked in a similar role looking to develop into a managerial position.
• Experience in providing specific support on regulatory reporting matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Pro-active, flexible, and capable of working to tight deadlines under pressure.
