Experienced Mechanical Engineer

BACKGROUND

Healium Medical is an early-stage medical device company located in Yokne’am developing transcatheter ultrasound therapeutic technology for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The company’s technology is multidisciplinary and consists of micro-mechanics, micro-electronics, hardware, software, and signal and image algorithm processing.  The company is backed by strategic investors, and key opinion leaders in the field and has recently won 1st place at the ICI2019 Technological Innovation Competition and was awarded the European Innovation Council (EIC) grant 2021.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take part in the mechanical design and development activities of the company. You would be responsible for the development, from concept to commercialization, of clinical products used in cardiology, design, and development of test methods and fixtures, and design of manufacturing assembly lines. To succeed and fit in you must have great interpersonal skills, be a team player, completely independent, a thinker, a self-learner, highly organized & motivated, have a broad system perspective of the entire technological solution, alongside a strong passion for medical devices development and spending time hands-on building and testing things in the lab. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

§ The Experienced mechanical engineer will support all company’s mechanical activities such as: 

o  Mechanical design & development of therapeutic delivery systems (intravascular catheters) & accessories.

o  Design & Development of test fixtures and micro mechanical-electrical assembly process development.

o  Documentation of specifications, requirements, tolerance stack calculations, and test protocols. 

o  Produce detailed drawings of parts and assemblies.

o  Work with manufacturing subcontractors for the production, acceptance tests, and integration of prototypes and final products.

o  Take part in hardware-mechanical integration.

YOUR EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

§  B.S / M.S in Mechanical Engineering

§  +3 years of experience in multidisciplinary design– in the medical field an advantage

§  Experience designing moving mechanisms -MUST

§  Strong knowledge in manufacturing processes (including Machining, Sheet metal, Injection molding)

§  Full understanding of Product Development Process guidelines & regulations, and Design Controls.

§  Proficient in SolidWorks

§  Experience working with subcontractors

§  Familiar with PDM system

§  High level of verbal and written English

ADVANTAGES

§  Familiarity and/or experience with plastic / polymer molds design 

§  Prepare test plans and perform lab tests for verification and conformance of design outputs to meet the design inputs.

§  knowledge of catheter design & construction, familiarity with material types used, catheter assembly process, key subcontractors and suppliers, adhesive types & selection
