Job Summary

Manage and direct all activities at an operations level or manufacturing cell, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Provide direction on design and development activities to improve, modify or design new processes or equipment. Direct key manufacturing projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Communicate information to the customer as well as affected departments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develops and implements policies and procedures for production operations
• Plans, examines, analyzes, and evaluates production operations
• Prepares planning and production reports, reviews operating and financial data and makes recommendations for improvements
• Evaluates work performance and initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selection, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures
• Resolves grievances, investigates customer complaints, and proactively participates in problem resolution
• Directs and coordinates work and production schedules and general department activities through subordinates
• Contributes to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste
• Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and safety rul
• Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs
• Manage production planning staff
• Interface with external stakeholders including plants and other tooling functions to supply and receive information
• Timely completion of quotes. Improve accuracy and relationship with scheduling
• Oversee all procurement and ensure purchasing is cost effective and timely.
• Gather information relating to customer orders and produce a detailed tooling forecast
• Plan and schedule work in order to mitigate long lead times and maximize utilization
• Provide managerial leadership and direction to all direct reports to ensure objectives are fully understood and met. Ensure effective performance management throughout Production
• Ensure SAP materials are accurate by scheduling and managing regular inventory counts
• Support the global tooling design team in improving tool manufacture methods
• Identify staff resource requirements and communicate with the Manufacturing manager
• Advise plants, TLCM and other stakeholders on lead times
• Deputize for and support the Production Manager
• Support Global Tooling Group activities
• Support the Quality and Opex manager in driving continuous improvement
• Ensure quality meets the plant and customer expectations
• Ensure site Health and safety related compliance.
• Champion the improvement of existing, the introduction of new manufacturing processes and ensuring best practice is shared within the Tooling Group.
• Champion the West Business System
• In cooperation with Production, ensure all priorities are clearly identified and that personnel are deployed appropriately to meet the priorities.
• Support Line Manager in driving continuous improvement
  
  

• Education: Within Production Planning or relevant discipline
• Experience: at least 8 years in similar roles.
• Fluent in Hebrew and English: Writing/ Reading/ Speaking.
• Manufacturing Experience
• Experience with cGMP practices, ISO, and medical device manufacturing
