About The Position

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our dynamic team in the smart glass industry. In this role, you will be part of the Product Management department and work closely with Research and Development (R&D) and Operations teams to bring innovative smart glass products to market. As the Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and launch of smart glass products, ensuring they meet market needs and are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Product Development Coordination:

Work with Outbound product managers to translate Market needs into detailed technical specifications. By that you’ll hold both the Voice of Customer in front of R&D and Operations and become the technical expert in front of Marketing and sales personal.
Collaborate effectively with R&D teams, including chemistry scientists, laboratory technicians, and chemistry engineers, to facilitate the development and refinement of smart glass technologies.
Act as a leader within the matrix organization, bridging the gap between R&D and product teams, ensuring clear communication, and driving alignment on product specifications and requirements.
Utilize market insights to lead product development efforts and ensure alignment with market demands, providing clear direction to the team.

Project Management Support

Provide leadership in project management, ensuring that product development projects are on schedule and within budget.
Assume a leadership role in monitoring project timelines and budgets, proactively identifying and addressing issues, and facilitating solutions to keep projects on track.

Product Launch Support

Take part in the development and maintenance of product documentation, training materials, and support resources for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, materials science, engineering). Additional degree in Business is a plus.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a project / product management or closely related role, with a strong foundation in the polymers / composites materials industry – a must
Solid understanding of smart glass technologies and their applications, including PDLC, electrochromic, or related technologies – an advantage
Knowledge of chemistry and materials science to effectively communicate with R&D professionals – a must
Experience in project management, including leadership of cross-functional teams in a matrix environment – a must
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with an aptitude for leadership.
Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with market research tools and methodologies.
