Role Description

This is a contract, remote role for a Technical Writer. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing technical content for an IoT development platform.

The Technical Writer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and quality assurance personnel, to ensure that the documentation is clear, accurate, and concise.

Requirements

• Plan, Design and maintain the platform's customer development portal.
• Work closely with the development teams to gain an in-depth understanding of the API and SDKs and the documentation requirements.
• Write tutorials and guides which include sample code to help developers understand and implement the API and SDKs in their applications.
• Produce and maintain detailed API reference documentation.
• Update existing documentation to reflect changes to functionality.
• Use a variety of tools to manage documentation, source code, and version control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Technical Writer
• Experience writing technical documentation and user manuals for software or hardware products
• Experience with technical writing tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
