Demand Planner Israel and Cyprus

Role Overview

In this role you will lead end to end Demand planning (both volume and value) for all CH categories, in order to improve customer service levels and to reduce end-to-end COGS and inventory levels within the country. You will deploy the revised Demand Planning processes to support the Operating model and provide Local Demand Forecasting input into the Core Commercial Cycle / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. One of the tasks will be to establish a robust demand forecast across a 36-month horizon analyzing Channel drivers, Category drivers and Market drivers, lead projects to transform the demand forecasting capability and output, in line with the commercial requirements. The role is to ensure compliance to requirements e.g. SOPs, Management Monitoring and support Cluster D&S Planning team for ongoing initiatives, analysis, projects and requests.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the Demand Planning processes and ongoing meetings with stakeholders on a country level across a 36-month horizon for nominated channels / accounts and brands.
• Own process to maintain robust Demand Forecasts across short term (Sales accountability) and long term (Marketing Accountability) horizons.
• Build a consensus driven Demand Forecast (Volume and Value) with commercial & finance teams ensuring full volume and value alignment.
• Integrate the following into the demand forecast and maintain a detailed understanding of all the components:
• Statistical Forecasting / AI / Machine Learning
• Promotion and repacking uplifts as well as cannibalisation effects.
• Sales (Consumption, Stock in Trade) and Market Intelligence
• New Product Introductions
• Seasonal activity
• SKU Discontinuations
• Identifying the key trends, drivers and drainers of performance
• Provide a consolidated view of forecast robustness across all Trade Channels within the country.
• Provide Risk, Opportunity and forecast sensitivity analysis.
• Manage KPI reporting (Forecast Bias, Accuracy, slow-moving inventory) and relevant root cause analysis.
• Manage the end-to-end launch process with central S&OP & Marketing teams.
• Participate in Business Planning and Commercial meetings for each country to get customer and consumer insights.
• Participate actively in Budget Planning in collaboration with Finance, Sales and Marketing
• Collaborate closely with supply planners to ensure on time supply availability and optimization of inventory.
• Work collaboratively and proactively with Sales & Marketing Teams on keeping slow moving & obsolete stock risks low and in line with budget.
• Support other operational activities for Cyprus like master data set up, pricelists maintenance, invoicing follow -up.
• Lead end to end planning for Cyprus including shipments follow up, weekly sales reporting to GM along with R&O
• Lead Demand optimization system transformational projects (O9) providing fit gap analysis, validation of data and change management.
• Lead any demand -related analytics request to support business decision making

Qualifications & Skills:

• University degree
• Knowledge in supply chain related disciplines, Demand Forecasting (FMCG), business planning processes, Planning systems (SAP APO)
• 2-5 years of Demand planning experience (Preferably in FMCG companies)
• Fluency in English
• Strong analytical skills
• Analytical mind, able to manage, analyze and interpret complex data. Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and problems solving skills with ability to contribute fully to cross functional teams
• Good understanding of financial processes & P&L impact
• Practical and proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Service focused and strong commercial and customer orientation
• The rapidly changing nature of the business and the dynamic market conditions will require a high degree of flexibility and adaptability and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• SAP/Planning system experience preferred
• Strong work ethic, perseverance and resilience
