FPGA Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and talented FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic development team. As FPGA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of development, from low-level to system architecture design. You will be responsible for the entire software development cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, and product deployment. Additionally, you will contribute to system analysis, architecture, and definition.

Responsibilities

• You will be a member of a small (1-6 person) multi-disciplinary team.
• Will work closely with hardware and software developers with a hands-on role in product integration and debugging.
• Responsibilities include specification, architecture/microarchitecture definition hands-on implementation work for every aspect of ASIC/FPGA design such as coding (VHDL or Verilog), test bench design, verification, synthesis, and FPGA placement & routing.
• Architect and implement cutting-edge FPGA-based signal processing solutions tailored for advanced radar systems.
• Transform software algorithm prototypes into efficient high-speed signal processing logic.
• Must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver who requires minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a leading university.
• 8+ years of experience developing FPGA designs using VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Experience with AMD Xilinx Zynq™ UltraScale+™ MPSoC and design tools (Xilinx IP Cores, AXI4, AXI-Stream)
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, ARM processors, and the interaction between PL and PS in Zynq™ devices.
• Experience with debugging tools, hardware validation, and FPGA synthesis/optimization techniques.
• Experience in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, techniques, design of filters, etc.
• Experience with Architecting, Implementing high speed digital cores to interface to ARM SOC with bare metal/Linux OS based debug with SDKs, BSP’s and profilers.
• Knowledge and experience developing high speed embedded data interfaces such as JESD, LVDS, Ethernet and others (e.g., USB, SPI, UART, DDR3)
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in using hardware debug tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.

Advantageous Skills

• Understanding of RF/Radar systems.
• High speed signal PCB design and development experience.
• Knowledge of machine learning accelerators or AI applications on FPGAs.
• Competence in developing C/C++/C# PC applications to complement hardware testing.
