Head of Data

One of our clients in the Digital Health industry (~50 employees) is looking to hire a Head of Data.

The company is a pioneering behavioral science firm that incorporates AI & EI (emotional intelligence) within its digital healthcare tools. This firm offers a hyper-personalized engagement platform, empowering health ecosystem stakeholders to connect with individual patients on a vast scale.

As the Head of Data, you will architect the data roadmap for the enterprise. Overseeing a team of data scientists and analysts, you will work on machine learning algorithms to integrate them into our platform. This role involves extensive collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to refine our data framework and decision-making paradigms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and implement a robust data strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Oversee a team of data professionals, ensuring their growth and development.
• Guide the team in parsing intricate data sets to synthesize actionable insights for product evolution and business decisions.
• Liaise with product teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine data prerequisites and integrate data-driven solutions into product offerings.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure data methodologies comply with global healthcare data privacy norms (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Innovation and Research: Stay updated with emerging data science and health tech paradigms.

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 7+ years in data science or similar roles
• 2+ years in leadership positions.
• Experience with NLP
• Knowledge of machine learning modalities.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning algorithms - an advantage
• Competence in using data analysis and visualization tools.
• Proficiency in data warehousing, ETL operations, and cloud platforms (preference for AWS).
• Prior experience with GenAI capabilities is advantageous - an advantage.
