Engineering Manager, Cloud Networking

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• Typically 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the cloud domain.
• Engineering excellence, focusing on quality, velocity, and reliability.

Google Cloud Network is the foundation on top of which Google cloud solutions are built and without which they cannot perform. Cloud Network Telemetry teams develop technologies that allow observability of the cloud network performance.

As the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate cross-team and cross-site. You will also develop within a system that processes customer data with availability, scalability, and efficiency constraints.

Responsibilities

• Drive team's tasks from design through implementation all the way to complete delivery and launch.
• Mentor, guide, train, and grow teams. Create a collaborative and positive environment.
• Set direction and roadmap for the teams you manage and participate in group-wide roadmap and Objectives and Key Results (OKR) planning.
• Collaborate with multiple local and remote teams and interfaces.
