Job Summary

The Operations Manager role will oversee and streamline the supply-side operations for Bird, ensuring the efficient management of our service center, vehicle maintenance and repair, scooter and spare parts importation, and overall vehicle deployment in Israel. The primary purpose of this role is to guarantee a smooth and reliable supply chain for the company, maintaining the availability and functionality of vehicles for customers. As an Ops Manager you will be managing the service center, optimizing the inbound and outbound processes for damaged vehicles, overseeing the importation of scooters and spare parts, and ensuring an efficient and effective deployment of vehicles on the streets.

Responsibilities

• Service Center Management: Supervise and oversee the service center responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall health of our vehicles. Ensure efficient operations and manage the team responsible for vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Streamline and optimize the inbound and outbound processes for damaged vehicles, ensuring a seamless flow from pickup to repair and back to deployment. Implement cost-effective strategies to reduce vehicle downtime.
• Importation Process: Manage the importation of scooters and spare parts, coordinating with suppliers, customs, and logistics partners to ensure a steady and reliable supply of equipment.
• Vehicle Deployment: Oversee the deployment of vehicles on the streets in Israel, ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. Implement strategies for vehicle availability and efficient redistribution as needed.
• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of supply management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team's success and the attainment of operational goals.
• Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety for all vehicles, parts, and services, adhering to local regulations and Bird's global standards.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and continuously improve supply-side operations. Monitor key performance indicators to identify areas for enhancement.
  
  

Requirements

• Relevant consulting or tech experience
• A “get it done” attitude – bias toward action, owner’s mindset, great collaboration and master disambiguation – constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
• Project management experience and proven ability to deliver results
• Strong stakeholder management skills. Previous experience communicating with and negotiating with external stakeholders
• Be a down-to-earth leader who can balance attention to detail with swift execution – we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength.
• Explorer – the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data required will make you much more effective in this role
• Willingness to get your hands dirty, get in the field, and lead by example
• Strong Excel / data management / Powerpoint skills
