Teaching & Research Lab Engineer

Teaching Labs- Faculty of Health Sciences

Job Description:

a. Operation and maintenance of the equipment and instrumentation in the teaching and research labs.

b. Preparing the equipment, materials and chemical solutions needed for the teaching and research labs.

c. Accompany courses and provide technical assistance to students in operating lab instruments and performing experiments.

d. Handling and cryopreservation of living microorganisms and laboratory work with animals.

e. Ordering equipment and materials for labs and tracking their receipt.

f. Organization and arrangement of the inventory of equipment and existing materials.

g. Development of new work methods and their application in the teaching and research labs.

h. Providing service in the research labs to faculty researchers as needed.

i. Responsible for the implementation of safety procedures in compliance with the provisions of the law.

j. Perform additional tasks under the supervisor’s direction.

k. Subordination: Teaching & research labs coordinator.

Job Requirements:

a. A bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a master's degree in life sciences or biochemistry or biology or biotechnology engineering.

b. Three years’ experience in the relevant fields.

c. Experience in operating scientific instrumentation.

d. Preferably with teaching experience.

Full-time Position: 100%

Note: Willingness to work at non-routine work hours.
