·       מתן תמיכה ותחזוקה למעבדות מחקר, הוראה והדגמה

·       סיוע בקורסי פיזיקה (הדגמות וכד׳)

·       סיוע בפיתוח ניסויים חדשים

·       סיוע בפרויקטים של סטודנטים

·       תחזוקת ציוד ורכישות ציוד

·       נאמן/ת בטיחות ואחראי/ת על נהלי הבטיחות, בהתאם לדרישות החוק

כישורים נדרשים

·       תואר ראשון בפיזיקה או בהנדסת חשמל (או תחום דומה) — חובה; תואר מתקדם — יתרון

·       ניסיון במערכות ממוחשבות ובציוד מעבדה

·       ניסיון ב־א) הקמת ניסויים, ב) מערכות מחשוב, ו־ג) פדגוגיה — יתרון

Seeking a lab engineer for the Physics Department of Ben Gurion University. The successful candidate will focus on the department's teaching labs with some overlap also in research labs. Responsibilities

• Providing engineering and technical services to research and teaching labs
• Providing support and maintenance to research, teaching, and demonstration labs
• Assisting physics courses (demos, etc)
• Aiding in developing new experiments
• Aiding student projects
• Equipment maintenance and acquistions
• Safety trustee and responsible for safety procedures, in accordance with the requirements of the law.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in physics or electrical engineering (or similar) required, higher degree preferred
• Experience with computerized systems and lab equipment
• Experience with a) setting up experiments, b) computer systems, and c) pedagogy preferred
