Our client is a company in the field of Agrotech, developing and commercializing seeds for the growing biobased market. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of a biotechnology company traded in NASDAQ.
The company is seeking for a Chief Executive Officer.
The Chief Executive Officer will manage the company, oversee all operations, will create and implement the company's strategy, build and lead a team of employees, and will continue to move the company forward.
Location: Israel, Rehovot (On-site)
Scope: Full time
Reporting to: Company Board and Chairman (The group CEO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine long term strategic plan and lead its execution.
- Oversee all operations, including business development, sales & marketing, logistics, and product development.
- Develop business prospects by studying trends and revenue opportunities.
- Creating and implementing the company's strategy.
- Maintaining awareness of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, industry developments, etc.
- Evaluate short-term and long-term goals and work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to devise and implement overall sales growth strategy with respect to the vision of the company.
- Working in international markets and in a multicultural environment.
- Continue to develop a leading technological position through the unique capabilities of the company as well as the headquarter.
- Build and lead a team of employees located in Israel and abroad.
Requirements:
- Previous Chief Executive Officer experience in the agriculture sector with a proven track record. At least 4 years.
- Academic degree in scientific/biology/chemistry/business.
- A business scientific background/ orientation is a Must!
- Proven capabilities in establishing collaborations, negotiations, and agreements.
- Ability to work in international markets and in a multicultural environment.
- Commercial acumen with a strength in financial management.
- Previous successful experience in fundraising-an advantage. Dealing with investors/capital markets.
- Business development experience and proven track record in successfully managing international agreements, affiliates and sales.
- Strategic and analytical thinking.
- Excellent management skills, and ability to lead and execute complex operational assignments within challenging timelines across different target markets. Good teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new fields, flexible thinking.
- Ability to work in a team, together with the ability to work as a hands-on.
