Job Description:

The Mechanical Module Manager is responsible for the management and execution of development, testing, and validation of mechanical sub-systems and mechanisms for a product under the team's responsibility. The work is focused on engineering management and is closely aligned with the engineering team. It includes the following responsibilities:

• Defining mechanical requirements and writing mechanical specifications
• Matrix management of the engineering development of sub-systems and mechanisms across various factory departments while ensuring that design deliverables are met and challenging milestones are achieved

Qualifications:

• Required:
• More than 7 years of significant engineering experience as a mechanical designer and mechanical team leader in the following areas: mechanical design, strength and thermal analysis, material testing, and multidisciplinary development test planning
• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary mechanical development studies
• Significant experience working with project managers on development/manufacturing aspects
• Significant experience in developing engineering work plans and resource allocation for large-scale development and testing
• Preferred:
• Engineering management experience in manufacturing support operations or in transferring a product from design to manufacturing
• Proven experience in leading and developing products through all phases of the product life cycle, from conceptual design to serial production
• Experience leading mechanical/electromechanical development testing
• Experience working in a business management environment
• Experience in automotive-related fields
• Experience in a large-scale and challenging project with respect to schedule and technological challenges
