How you’ll be impactful:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, owning, and developing highly scalable business intelligence data models and services for data ingestion and data processing for Barges portfolio of brands including Kasamba, the Purples, Zodiac, and Fortunica. You will work closely with the technical team in Tel Aviv to understand production systems and correctly model analytics data. You will also be part of the broader Data & Analytics team where you will partner with other data and analytics professionals on best practices and uniform data management standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and implement highly scalable and secure data models and data marts for data ingestion, standardization, and data processing.
- Help in migration of Kasamba historical data to Snowflake.
- Create and maintain data integrations with the Purple & Zodiac platforms to feed normalized data to our Unified Data Platform
- In collaboration with product owners, data analysts and business partners improve overall architecture, frameworks and patterns for processing and storing large data volumes.
- Design and implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the data warehousing ecosystem.
- Designs data validation and audit processes for quality control.
- Implement complex automated routines using workflow orchestration tools.
- Work with geographically diverse teams in different time zones to identify technical bottlenecks and provide efficient solutions that adheres to our unified data model standards.
- Educate and promote best practices around data engineering on decentralized and geographically diverse teams.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, especially data infrastructure and data engineering.
- Strong experience with Python & RDBMS like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience in a cloud environment like AWS, Snowflake, and familiarity with tools like Airflow, DBT.
- Experience with design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, source of truth systems for different business areas, developing and maintaining web services in an agile environment.
- Familiarity with data warehouse solutions (like Snowflake/Redshift)
- Experience with data visualization tools and infrastructures (like Tableau/PowerBI).
- Team player able to gather requirements and communicate results.
