Job Summary:
The candidate Programs Manager is expected to develop and execute a programs strategy in line with the Munib & Angela Foundation (MAF)’s mission. The candidate shall oversee projects, coordinate programs, and manage the progress of operations, budgets and funding channels. The candidate must possess proven leadership skills and successfully manage a team across various disciplines to produce high quality results in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage MAF programs, projects and services activities by working with community members and other stakeholders to identify community priorities.
- Oversee the implementation of ongoing and new programs, projects, and services.
- Coordinate cross-project activities and monitor interconnected projects.
- Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives, projects and programs.
- Apply change, risk and resource management.
- Report on program and project performance and conduct impact assessment studies.
- Oversee administrative aspects of the programs and projects to meet the objectives of the stakeholders.
- Suggest and implement improvements to programs, projects and services.
- Manage and respond to requests for technical assistance, resources, connections, and guidance.
- Manage grants and funding of projects and services.
- Participate in the budgeting and planning of activities and develop different controls.
- Engage and assist in documenting the shared learning from initiatives and provide periodic updates to the funders.
- Communicate and respond to official communication letters related to the programs and projects.
- Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and circulate them as needed.
- Generate MAF press releases/announcements and develop/populate databases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, development, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of twelve years’ experience in which the last five were in a similar role.
- Advanced command of written and spoken Arabic and English.
- A critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrates leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Strive for continuous improvement and prioritize time management.
- Comfortable with planning and executing a budget.
