Our team is growing, and we are looking for an Automation Architect for our R&D organization.

You will play a crucial role in establishing and leading the quality automation initiatives across the entire R&D department. You will be responsible for ensuring that our software development processes are optimized for quality, efficiency, and reliability through the implementation of robust automation frameworks and practices. Your role will involve close collaboration with various teams, including developers, architects, and DevOps, to drive excellence in product quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Automation Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy for the R&D organization that aligns with business objectives and enhances the software development lifecycle.
• Automation Frameworks and Tools: Identify, evaluate, and implement appropriate automation frameworks and tools to optimize testing processes, increase test coverage, and improve release cycles.
• Testing Plan Review: Review and validate testing plans for different projects to ensure they encompass relevant test cases, adhere to best practices, and facilitate efficient automation.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Drive the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous delivery of software with confidence in its quality.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and DevOps to align automation efforts with development objectives, share insights, and foster a culture of quality and automation.
• Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of automation efforts. Prepare regular reports for stakeholders to showcase the impact of automation on product quality.
• Technical Expertise Sharing: Conduct workshops and training sessions to share automation best practices and technical knowledge with team members and foster continuous learning.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a software Automation quality engineer, in agile environments.
• 2+ years in Automation quality leading role.
• Passion for Quality and Automation: Enthusiasm for driving quality improvement initiatives and a strong desire to stay updated with the latest automation trends and technologies.
• Automation and Testing: Proven track record of writing and implementing automation scripts and frameworks. Strong understanding of different testing methodologies and best practices.
• CI/CD Processes: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to lead and motivate software engineers and quality professionals to achieve common goals. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in Analyzing Architecture: Demonstrated experience in analyzing software architecture and identifying automation opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Testing Plan Review: Prior experience in reviewing testing plans and providing valuable feedback to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with automation goals.
• Project Management: Effective project management skills to drive plans, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
