Company Description

Gatewise created a simple IoT Access Control solution, built for the needs of rental multifamily communities in the U.S. Its management portal allows for real-time management of all access points and users, while integration with property management systems enables automatic granting and revoking of resident access. Residents and staff can use the Gatewise app and/or voice controls and/or Tap the phone, to open gates and doors. The system uses cellular data and Bluetooth to create a reliable solution for multifamily communities.

The product is being used by more than 0.5M daily users in more than 1000 neighborhoods.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Head of Software Engineering role. The Head of Software Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the software development team, currently 4 in-house software developers, ensuring technical excellence, creating and maintaining project plans, managing project timelines, and overseeing enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Software Development skills: the ability to design, develop, and maintain software systems in production level
• Team Management and Leadership skills: experience leading and managing software development teams
• Project Management skills: experience managing project timelines and creating and maintaining project plans
• Enterprise Architecture skills: experience with designing and maintaining enterprise-level software systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience in IoT embedded devices, Raspberry Pie is a plus
• Experience with Saas is a plus
• Experience with mobile app development is a plus
