Validation and Verification Test Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

• The V&V Test Engineer supports Novocure’s product development activities by designing and implementing detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test procedures. This position involves frequent communication and coordination with engineering and quality team members in Israel and Portsmouth NH.
• This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Haifa Israel office and reports to the Verification and Validation Manager.

• Analyze requirements and write test procedures based on the requirements.
• Plan test strategy and design test procedures for different types of tests incorporating: demonstration, measurement, inspection, and analysis techniques
• Ensure efficient and robust coverage of requirements using different test scenarios
• Write instruction-based test procedures and design test fixtures as needed
• Establish clear traceability between requirements and test procedures
• Review test cases created by peers and recommend improvements
• Execute test procedures and document the results in test reports
• Report anomalies found during test executions
• Collaborate with Novocure engineering team members

• Demonstrated technical writing skills
• English language mastery and fluency
• Strong grasp of fundamental engineering concepts, basic principles
• Experience in designing, writing, reviewing and performing design verification tests
• Experience designing and creating test fixtures
• Experience in medical device product development preferred
• Experience in working with measuring instruments, such as: Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.
• Experience in documenting anomalies that found while performing the tests
• Familiarity with matching test method measurement uncertainty to requirement tolerances
• Critical thinking and decision making, including the ability to recognize when to ask questions
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Able to work in a team environment and execute responsibilities with minimal direct supervision
