Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

✔ Proactively monitor BI alerts, dashboards, and reports to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, or unusual trends.

✔ Conduct thorough sanity checks and QA validation on data pipelines, reports, and analytics outputs.

✔ Investigate suspicious trends, discrepancies, or missing data, and be the first to raise red flags.

✔ Perform deep-dive analysis to identify root causes of data issues and support resolution efforts.

✔ Collaborate closely with BI Developers and Data Engineers to ensure data integrity, reliability, and consistency.

✔ Maintain best practices for data quality assurance, monitoring processes, and documentation.

✔ Support business teams by validating the accuracy of key reports before distribution.

✔ Work with stakeholders to identify reporting gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

✔ Develop strong familiarity with gaming events, promotions, and user behavior trends in a B2C environment to detect irregularities and improve monitoring effectiveness.

Requirements

✔ 3+ years of experience in a data-focused role such as BI, Data Analysis, Product Analytics, or similar.

✔ Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, investigating anomalies, and debugging data issues.

✔ Experience working with cloud-based BI/Data environments (GCP / AWS) – advantage for BigQuery.

✔ Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

✔ Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively solve problems.

✔ A highly detail-oriented mindset with the ability to spot inconsistencies before they impact the business.

✔ Strong analytical thinking and a “detective-like” approach to investigating data issues.

✔ Familiarity with B2C environments and user behavior trends – gaming industry experience is a strong advantage.

✔ Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with technical and business stakeholders.
