Engineering Manager

A global leader in the process industry with three advanced plants producing raw materials for the food, paper, and other industries, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Department Manager. (Reporting to the VP of Operations)

Job Description:

• Managing and leading complex engineering projects in production and construction
• Establishing new, large-budget plants
• Managing interfaces with authorities, contractors, and suppliers
• Leading the planning and implementation of technological processes
• Managing a team of 8 engineers and project managers
• Providing engineering support to the operations departments
• Member of the operations management team, contributing to department strategy development

Position Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering – mandatory
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in the process industry
• Proven managerial experience – minimum of four years
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and teams
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Leadership skills, excellent interpersonal communication
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Creative thinking and ability to solve complex problems
• Strategic thinking and ability to manage large budgets
