Fullstack Engineering Team Lead

A fast-growing B2B SaaS company in the hospitality and online ordering space is seeking a hands-on Fullstack Engineering Team Lead to own a core product team and drive its technical direction. In this role, you will lead a distributed team (including offshore engineers), remain deeply involved in coding and architecture, and build scalable, high-traffic systems used by customers worldwide.

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Fullstack Team Lead to lead a core product team, combining technical ownership, architecture, and people leadership. You will design and deliver end-to-end features across web and backend, integrate with third-party systems, and continuously improve performance, scalability, and code quality. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a fullstack engineering team, including offshore developers, while setting high engineering standards and conducting code reviews.
​- Own the design and implementation of scalable architectures, services, and APIs in a modern microservices environment.
​- Stay strongly hands-on (around 50%–70% of the time) across backend and frontend codebases.
​- Work closely with Product and business stakeholders to plan and deliver roadmap items on time and with high quality.
​- Drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, monitoring, observability, and incident response for production systems.

- 5+ years of backend development with Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript).
​- 3+ years of modern frontend experience (Vue.js is a plus; React/Angular also relevant).
​- 2+ years in a team lead or tech lead role, leading delivery end-to-end.
​- Proven experience designing scalable systems and RESTful APIs.
​- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and MongoDB.
​- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, AWS, and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
​- Strong testing mindset and production-grade coding standards.
​- Fluent professional English, comfortable working daily with distributed/offshore teams.

Nice to Have:
- Experience with Storybook and/or design systems.
​- Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting in production environments.
​- Background in high-traffic or real-time systems.
​
