BI Development Team Lead

We are looking for a BI Development Team Lead to join our team 💥

📍 Tel Aviv | Hybrid

We're looking for a hands-on BI technical lead who's passionate about data, AI, and building smart business solutions — someone who wants to keep developing BI solutions themselves while also owning the technical direction and growth of our development team.

This is a hands-on role first: you'll spend most of your time developing BI solutions yourself, while also guiding a small team of analysts/developers, ensuring quality, and leading our internal R&D of new BI and AI products.

🔑 Lead and take ownership of the development team's day-to-day work: ongoing BI development for existing clients, new implementations, and small-to-mid scale projects

🔑 Be hands-on: build and maintain BI solutions, data models, and dashboards for a variety of customers

🔑 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team's analysts/developers, and ensure high-quality, consistent work

🔑 Lead R&D efforts for new BI and AI products, bringing forward-looking product vision and identifying new development opportunities

🔑 Work closely with the CS team lead and other stakeholders to align on priorities and processes

🔑 Explore and adopt new AI capabilities and technologies as part of ongoing innovation
 

Job Requirements:

🔍 2-3 years of experience in BI development / data analysis, with strong hands-on skills in Power BI, Azure, and SQL

🔍 Solid understanding of core business processes (e.g. supply chain, import/manufacturing, finance) — experience with B2B clients in these domains is a strong advantage

🔍 Experience working with internal or external clients/stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions

🔍 Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS — advantage

🔍 Python knowledge — advantage

🔍 Genuine willingness and motivation to guide and mentor other developers/analysts — a must, even without prior formal management experience

🔍 Strong sense of ownership and accountability, service-oriented mindset, and openness to learning new domains and technologies

🔍 Strong product-oriented thinking — able to identify opportunities and think ahead about where BI solutions and products can go

🔍 Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, managing several projects and priorities in parallel

🔍 Great attitude and people skills — with team members, employees, and customers alike

🔍 Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with other teams

🔍 Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Science / Economics & Management or equivalent practical experience
