About the role
Israel builds some of the most ambitious companies in the world, and they go global on day one. That makes founders here exactly the customers we’re built for, and it makes this a rare seat: you’ll own the startup segment in one of the most dense, fast-moving tech ecosystems anywhere. You’ll join us in building Airwaleex as the financial operations platform and infrastructure of choice for every early-stage startup.

What you’ll do

Own the full engagement cycle for startup accounts in Israel, from first conversation to getting them onboarded to our startups program

Run a go-to-market strategy for the segment: identify where growth is, analyse the competitive landscape, and test distribution models that get us in front of founders early.

Develop relationships across the venture ecosystem — VC firms, accelerators, angel networks, and founder communities — and turn them into a repeatable source of qualified pipeline.

Lead consultative, technical conversations with founders, C-level executives, product managers, and engineering teams, translating complex API-driven solutions into clear commercial outcomes.

Feed the market back into the business: bring founder insight to our product and GTM teams and influence the roadmap for how we serve startups.

Represent Airwallex credibly in the Israeli startup ecosystem, including events, founder dinners, panels, and partner activations.

What success looks like

You consistently hit and exceed quota, with a pipeline that’s built rather than inherited.

Airwallex becomes a default answer when Israeli founders ask how to handle global money movement.

Our relationships with VCs and accelerators generate a steady, predictable flow of warm introductions.

Vertical SaaS platforms in the region are live on our embedded finance products and expanding their usage.

Founders see you as a genuine partner in scaling globally, not just a vendor.

What you’ll bring

Demonstrated experience working within or closely alongside startups, venture capital, accelerators, or innovation-driven ecosystems, with real familiarity with venture-backed company lifecycles, investment processes, and the broader startup landscape.

Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that drive rapid adoption in new or existing markets, including identifying growth opportunities, analysing competitive landscapes, and optimising go-to-market approaches.

A strong technical sales background, with the ability to articulate complex financial and API-driven solutions to product and engineering teams.

Experience navigating long, consultative sales cycles alongside C-level executives, product managers, and growth teams.

Deep knowledge of vertical SaaS go-to-market strategies: how software platforms scale, acquire customers, and integrate financial services into their core offering.

A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a track record of spotting new opportunities, testing distribution models, and influencing product roadmaps.

Fluency in Hebrew and English.
