Data Engineer

Papaya is one of the world's fastest-growing mobile game companies, providing entertainment for millions of users across multiple apps. The company is headquartered in the heart of Tel Aviv. We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and take a key role in helping us deliver higher quality data and insights on a fast growing data scale platforms.

Requirements:

BSc / BA in Computer Science / Engineering / Information Technology / Data Systems Management or an equivalent background
3+ years of experience as a BI Developer / Data Engineer (DWH, ETL)
Experience with business departments stakeholders (marketing, finance, etc.) - a must
Proficient in SQL - a must
Experience with Python Development - a must
Significant experience with GCP Platform (BigQuery, IAM & Admin, Monitoring, etc.) - an advantage
Significant experience with workflow managers such as Airflow / DBT - an advantage
Experience with BI reporting platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc) - an advantage
Experience with 24/7 production systems and real-time analytics

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complicated data pipelines
Work closely with Analytics, R&D, Product & Marketing departments to make in-game data accessible & reliable
Take ownership of existing ETL processes overseeing extensive data scale & complex structures
Pull data from various data sources and integrate it into the ETL process
Maintain and support data platforms for analytics (e.g. GCP)
Optimize workloads to reduce run time and improve performance
Develop monitoring over BI infrastructure
Conduct data flow validation testing and AdHoc troubleshooting from in-company & external data sources
Translate business requirements to technical specifications in conjunction with other departments as part of the development of new features
Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools) - Create visualizations and reports for company-wide projects
Develop and update technical documentation
