Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and business-driven VP of Finance to join Spines. This is a high-impact executive role, ideal for a visionary leader who will drive financial strategy while partnering closely with Product, Growth, and Executive team to fuel business expansion, user monetization, and data-driven decision-making.

About You:

The ideal candidate brings a strong economic and analytical foundation - preferably with experience at a Big 4 consulting firm - and deep expertise in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis). The ideal candidate must also be able to work closely with the founders to support the financial strategy of other companies in the group as well as future investments and M&A opportunities.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

Lead financial strategy, planning, and controls: annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash-flow management, and financial policies.
Experience overseeing legacy systems to NetSuite transitions and full implementations—including data migration, integrations, and control frameworks; significant advantage for a greenfield rollout as the primary financial system.
Produce management reporting packages, organization-wide KPIs, and variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual).
Oversee compliance and tax across operating regions, including U.S. requirements (e.g., statutory filings and indirect taxes such as sales tax); coordinate with external advisors.
Improve revenue quality and profitability: pricing, unit economics, cost efficiency, and AR/AP process effectiveness.
M&A: lead due diligence, financial modeling, and post-merger operational/financial integration.
Act as a business partner to Product and Growth to strengthen monetization and customer retention.

Build and lead finance/accounting/FP&A teams; standardize policies and continuously improve processes.

Requirements

10+ years of finance experience, including 5+ years as VP Finance or in a senior FP&A leadership capacity (e.g., Head/VP) within a high-growth technology environment, with a hands-on, operational orientation consistent.
Senior FP&A leadership (Head/VP): building and leading the function, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, financial modeling, and org-wide KPI design.
ERP implementations: ownership of implementation/migration and integrations; significant advantage for NetSuite experience (process mapping, system controls).
M&A: ownership of due diligence, financial modeling, and post-merger operational/financial integration.
U.S.-facing operations: relevant compliance/filings, banking/advisors, and commercial contracting.
Cross-functional monetization: partnering with Product/Growth/Marketing to implement strategies tied to financial KPIs and user metrics.
Strong analytical capability: deep experience in data analytics, user behavior insights, and business intelligence (tool-agnostic).
Proven team leadership across finance disciplines.

Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
