Venture Debt & Growth Investment:

We are the leading European & Israeli venture and growth debt fund manager focused on investing in high-growth companies in the technology and healthcare sector through every stage of their growth life cycle, from entry-level growth, mid-stage development, through to late stage & pre-IPO / exit funding, as well as publicly listed growth funding.

We are looking to add an experienced, energized and commercially minded member to our investment team in Israel. Our Associates and Vice Presidents work as part of our investment team (both in Tel Aviv and working together with offices in London, Sweden, Germany, and Ireland) covering a wide range of areas.

The individual will have a strong network in the entrepreneurial technology and innovation space in Israel and/or the right credit skills to underwrite transactions in this space. We would not expect the Associate to immediately source deals directly but she/he should be demonstrating a strong ability to do so in the near future. She/he will be involved in developing the commercial framework for deal sourcing and ensuring the transaction structuring, due diligence and negotiations are completed in close collaboration with other members in the team as well as building our local ecosystem relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and supporting the deal process (usually as part of a broader team depending on the deal) which includes research – market, product and comparable businesses along with the appropriate due diligence. Due diligence covers management references, market sizing and mapping, and industry research, competitive analysis and ultimately forming a viewpoint on the investment opportunity.

Conduct independent fundamental credit analysis, due diligence and approval of new investments.

Calibrate financing needs and structures for prospective borrowers.

Financial modelling of investment opportunities.

Provides input on negotiation of terms and conditions for transactions and works with originator and legal to ensure appropriate structuring / documentation.

Negotiation and review of transaction legal documentation and liaising with internal and external legal advisers.

Ongoing monitoring of portfolio assets including waivers & amendments, contributing to the quarterly fund valuation process and reporting to investors.

Involvement in providing portfolio reports and analytics for internal and external use.

Adhere to investment process and operational standards.

Help identify/ manage operational risks and improve processes as relevant.

Fund administration – assisting the finance team with quarterly investor reporting and asset valuation.

Working closely to colleagues in the London office as well as to local MDs. The job will require traveling to the London office from time to time.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – presents ideas in a clear, concise and constructive manner.

Excellent credit skills demonstrated through prior relevant experience in underwriting, structuring and executing venture debt/private debt transactions.

Ability to build strong relationships with internal parties, portfolio companies along with VC / Equity sponsors.

Ability to direct the structuring of a transaction, manage transaction process with internal and external parties and working with originators to complete investment opportunities.

Willingness and interest to work across the broader portfolio.

Our hybrid work model
