Staff Software Engineer (Backend)

You will enhance the developer experience and boost productivity through self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure operations.Key Responsibilities:Develop high-scale software solutions to manage and leverage the big data that flows through our platformUtilize expertise in modern programming languages (we use TypeScript) to create robust and scalable codeCollaborate closely with product teams and other business units to conceive, plan, and deliver products that exceed user expectationsTake ownership of products end-to-end, including all related infrastructure (IaC)Work with Snowflake and Databricks, leveraging their capabilities for working with big data and analyticsEngage with AI technologies like NLP, LLMs, computer vision, and generative AI, not just as concepts but as integral tools within Vidmob’s ecosystem. These aren’t just buzzwords at Vidmob, we use them daily!Mentor fellow engineers, fostering an environment of learning and growthEnsure comprehensive test coverage through automated unit, integration, and API testingUtilize DataDog for monitoring and ensuring the observability of systemsAdopt a security-first mindset in all aspects of application developmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-scale data environmentExpert ability in a modern coding language (TypeScript preferred)Proven track record with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and AI technologiesStrong understanding of automated testing and system observabilityDemonstrated ability in mentoring and leading technical teamsExceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution#LI-RemotePlease be aware that Vidmob will only contact candidates through emails ending in @vidmob.com.
