Senior Backend Engineer

Libra is looking for a highly experienced Backend Engineer that lives and breathes technology and data to join our founding team in Tel Aviv. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing this ground breaking technology from the group up. You will be involved in every aspect of the system, from integrating with customer environments, designing an ever evolving data architecture, implementing data flows and backend services. The role requires creativity, research and problem-solving skills as well as deep technical knowledge and the ability to deep-dive into complex and difficult problems.

*Who are you*
* Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer developing complex software projects, preferably with one of the following Go, Rust, Java or Scala
* Worked on cloud native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including Kubernetes
* Thrive in startups, you bringing ideas into production while clearing uncertainties in an ever evolving ecosystem environment
* You love doing things right, creating quality grade A+ code
* An independent, self-learner who is passionate about data and software with great sense of ownership

*Advantages:*
* Experienced with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Polars
* Modelled APIs and worked with data serialisation tools such as Avro and Protobuf
* Have data software engineering background, experienced with both designing software and data architectures

*What you will do*
* Design and develop our data architecture and infrastructure, including data modelling, collection, processing and storage for different needs and use cases while working closely with the research and product teams
* Design and implement backend systems that connect and integrate with customer environments according to their specifications and limitations
* Design and develop backend systems and APIs while understanding our evolving frontend needs
* Develop reliable, testebale production-grade code, setting and keeping software engineering standards
* Develop key components in the company’s architecture, supporting complex use-cases for the present and future
* Take end-to-end responsibility for your code, through development, testing, rollout and scale-up
